Empathy

During the Empathize phase, our team, drawing from our own experiences as recent graduates, explored the financial challenges young professionals face when transitioning into post-college life. Through discussions and research, we identified key gaps in existing financial literacy resources, including:

  • Discrepancies between financial advice and real-world application

  • Overwhelming or inaccessible financial information that discourages learning

These insights shaped our approach to designing a financial literacy game that simplifies complex financial concepts and empowers recent graduates to make informed decisions.

Recent graduates often face difficulty managing their finances due to a lack of engaging, accessible, and practical financial resources. The existing tools and materials are often overwhelming or fail to connect to the real-world financial decisions graduates must make.
